“He takes the time to get to know you and creates programs that are specifically catered to your needs as an athlete.”- Erin Carter

Road cycling is the “base” for all cycling disciplines. It requires huge endurance and aerobic capacity - attributes that are fundamental to all other cycling disciplines.
Within the road discipline there are many different types of riders: from stage racers and one-day specialists, to Crit riders, and sprinters. For all of these cyclists, we start with solid base training and then tailor the top end closer to the season. The philosophy is simple: build base then speed. Or to put it another way, cycling isn’t about who’s the fastest, but who’s the fastest after 160 km.
Because of the importance of base training for all disciplines, we organize regular winter training camps for all of our athletes. Once the athlete has that strong base it can be applied across many disciplines. For example, in her first Pan Am Games, Erin Carter took 3 gold medals on the track and then won the very hilly road race.
Olympic and Commonwealth Games Cyclist
Over years of winter training camps, Erinne built an enormous aerobic base. This base allowed her to compete against the top regional men and eventually become one of the best technical climbers in the world. As she likes to say “it’s not about who’s the best sprinter, but who’s the best sprinter after 160 km.”

Cam is a true all around cyclist. He has amazing speed on the road both in short high intensity events and long endurance style races. What makes Cam unique is that instead of focusing on one or two aspects of his cycling, he trains all qualities of his cycling all the time.
